You can very easily integrate your puresilva website to Google Checkout, Protx, Paypal and Nochex payment providers. You can connect to all 3 to give your customers a range of payment choices.
You just need to make sure you have an account with one of the payment providers first in order to connect your website to it - once you have, integration is as easy as entering your email address/userID for the payment provider in the backoffice.
Paypal and Nochex both use 'call-back' procedures to prevent spoof ordering Protx use encryption. Google Checkout is also secured via SSL. In fact, all take payment on web-pages with an SSL (secure socket layer) certificate so your customer's details are encrypted and secure.
The full details of each payment provider's security measures are available at their respective websites:-

Trust is very important to convince someone to buy anything from your website. One way to win trust is to put all your cards on the table and show feedback from your previous customers.
The puresilva e-commerce website solution has a feedback facility built in, so buyers can give feedback on quality of product, service, speed of delivery and value for money - as well as leave comments.
There's no such thing as 'perfect feedback' - even if you delivered the perfect product with perfect customer service at an an unbelievably low price, you will still get some unsatisfied customers - because it's all about perception - and perception is subjective.
If you receive 100 feedbacks, and 97 were generally happy/very happy with 3 dis-satisfied - in our opinion it's better to show all 100 feedback comments. This adds integrity to ALL of the comments by not editing out any of the negative ones.
Having said that, the puresilva feedback facility allows you to play editor to customer feedback in terms of what comments to show. You cannot control the feedback on quality of product, value for money, speed of delivery and value for money.

This facility allows your website visitors to interact with your site and enter a price that they'd be willing to pay for a particular product (and quantity of product).
For example, if you sell a t-shirt for £10, a website visitor can make an offer for £9 for the t-shirt. This offer is then sent as an email to the website administrator. They can choose to accept or reject this offer. If an offer is accepted, the person who made the offer receives an email stating that the offer has been accepted, and they can easily pay for the item at the offer price by clicking a link within the email. Each offer (if accepted) expires after 4 days.
The website owner has the chance to make a counter-offer, and can reply back with an amended price if they feel the original offer price is too low (no different to haggling in a market!). This is sent as an automated email - the site owner just needs to alter the price in the backoffice, and click "Send".
This facility is purely optional and is automatically disabled as a default setting. The site administrator can choose to select individual items that can be offered on, or could choose to put all his or her items on offer (one click of a button).

Our blog facility can be used as a news archive, an articles archive....or simply a blog! However you want to use it, it's an easy way to keep your visitors up-to-date with news and events or even just your own thoughts.
Having a blog / news section on your e-commerce website is a great way to help your website rank well in the search engines as well as encourage people to keep coming back to your site just to see what's new. Search engines love new content and will return to your site more frequently if they regularly find new content on your website.
There's plenty of free blogging software available, but it's very difficult, if not impossible, to give your e-commerce website a uniform look and feel as the blog section has a different design to your e-commerce pages. Not so with the puresilva e-commerce template, since we have written our own blog software that seamlessly integrates into your e-commerce shop.
Readers of your blog can also subscribe to it via an RSS feed so they can keep up-to-date with your news without even visiting your site! (this actually encourages them to visit your site since their RSS reader will have direct links to your site).

An accessible website can be navigated without a mouse, with all of its images able to be read by screen readers (for the blind) - among a number of other guidelines.
Accessibility also concerns itself with browsers - a website can be inaccessible to everyone using an older browser, for example - because it was created with 'broken', invalid HTML that older browsers cannot render (newer browsers tend to be more forgiving).
The first step to developing an accessible site is to use valid HTML/XHTML. This gives you a starting point that at least ensures all of the images have text descriptions, and that the HTML should render OK in older browsers (there's still no absolute guarantee though, with the variances between the browser versions).
This first step does not give you an accessible website.
puresilva websites have been designed to be as accessible as possible in terms of having valid HTML and clear layout - with default settings giving contrasting font colours and backgrounds, as well as users being able to change font sizes and TAB between navigation.
However, content is a big part of accessibility. If your target market is Japan, yet you write your website only in English, you will be making your site inaccessible to all of your website visitors who cannot read English. This exaggerated example highlights how important content is in terms of accessibility. According to usablenet.com, content should be:-
"presented in a clear and simple manner, and should provide understandable mechanisms to navigate within and between pages."
The puresilva templated versions receive free updates, so these will be kept up-to-date with all the latest accessibility guidelines.

All puresilva websites are backed up on a daily basis - their database and uploaded files (e.g. photos of products). Also the back-up is made to another server in a different geographical location to the web server - so in the event of a fire or other physical disaster, the data can be fully recovered, no more than 24 hours old.

Your puresilva website will come with a resource directory - allowing your visitors to add their own website to link to it - as long as they link back to your website (this is compulsory).
Why do this anyway?
Your search engine ranking is heavily determined by which websites link to your website. One way to get websites to link to you is by offering a link back to them - this can be a mutually beneficial exchange, particularly if the two wesbites are closely related.
You have full control of who joins the directory - you can edit or delete any entry.
You can also add entries yourself via the backoffice - you can even send an automated email to website owners requesting a link exchange after you add them to the directory.
With the resource directory, you can have potentially dozens (if not hundreds) of websites linking to your website without any effort on your part.

Selling online often requires showcasing your products on other websites to get maximum exposure, such as popular price comparison websites like Froogle, Dealtime and Kelkoo.
The puresilva Syndicate Tool allows you to easily put your products on such sites, making selling online an even easier process for you. All you have to do is set up an account with the price comparison site of your choice - the Syndicate Tool will take care of the rest - generating "feeds" (text files/XML files) that feature your entire product range from your online shop - these text files allow price comparison sites to display your products on their pages!
You can set them up in minutes and for free, rather than spending money on getting companies to create these feeds for you.

All puresilva websites are hosted on dedicated servers, with no server taking up more than 50% of its capacity in general (average RAM use, webspace used).
This ensures websites load fast with essentially unlimited webspace.

The puresilva website template fully supports digital products.
A digital product is simply a file (or files) that you sell. Your website visitors can read some information about this file/files, and then make a choice to buy it or not.
If they choose to buy it, they add it to their shopping basket, just like they would for a normal physical product, and pay for it.
After payment is verified, they can login to your website, and download the file(s).
Digital products can be a great source of income if you sell them at fairly low prices (e.g £5 for an e-book) - people are happy to pay for something they could possibly get for free if the price is low enough, and the product good enough.

Your website visitors can leave product reviews of your listed items. They may have bought this item before from you, or even from another vendor, and want to let people know how good/bad(!) it is. Reviews are a good way to help sell products since it's often more informative to read a matter-of-fact review from a customer. It's good to include some luke-warm reviews too to give the overall sense of integrity with all the reviews shown.

All of your images are automatically resized on your puresilva website. You can upload up to 4 images per product, of any size. Three separate thumbnails sizes are automatically generated per product :-

- one for the picture slideshow
Your website visitors can still view the actual size of your image as well - giving you 4 sizes per image.

You can set stock levels per item, even per-size of an item (as well as set prices on a per-size basis too).

Spam email has been getting out of control across the internet recently (since October 2006) - especially with spam sent as images - with an incredible 92.6% of all e-mail traffic being unwanted spam mails (source: bbc.co.uk).
The antispam software installed on puresilva servers is catching about 95% of spam, stemming a large proportion of it before it makes it through to email inboxes.
We use the MailFoundry MessageIQ engine to block spam - which updates its filter every 5 minutes with up-to-date IP blacklists.
Our hosting packages include virus and worm scanning, email attack protection, fraud protection, and content and attachment filtering.

You can easily add RSS feeds to your website to give your visitors the latest updates from other websites.
This may seem like drawing people away from your site, but if you have a collection of interesting news sources added to your site, users may see your site more as a 'portal' for any interesting new news and are more likely to bookmark it, as they will consider your site also a place to get the latest headlines from a unique collection of news sources.
It's wise to go for very specific news sources within your industry - saving your visitors time from visiting several websites to see what's new, while also adding value to your own site in terms of search engine optimization - your website will have the headlines indexed by search engines - and if the news sources are from your specific industry, the headlines will feature relevant keywords.
