Banner Background
You can upload your own background image for your banner.
Uploading an image
If you upload an image bigger than the dimensions of your banner, the background image is resized to exactly fit the width of your banner. Let's look at an example.
Here's a background image (click to view). It's quite large - 700 pixels wide by 525 pixels in height - nice looking mountain view.
Let's make a banner that is 670 wide by 94 pixels in height and add this mountain view image as a background - what will the background image look like? Looky here:-
Hmmm, it's just showing the very top of the image - not very interesting!! But, with the banner maker, we can move the image 'up':-
After moving the background image 'up' 300 pixels, we see this now:-
This is more interesting. We'll go with this.
Coloring
You can leave your photo's colors 'as is', make your photo black and white, saturate the photo, or super-saturate it.

Borders
You can add two types of stylish borders to your photos:-

Dithering
Dithering gives you a rough, cloth-like texture:-
Text
You can add two lines of text - a banner line, and a strap line. The banner line's text size can be controlled, and the strapline is always around 50% the size of the banner line; in the above banners, 'adventure holidays' is the banner line, and 'book yours today!' is the strapline. You can leave both blank if you like.
Sometimes when you choose a font, and a large font size - the text can appear to go off the banner like this:-
Well, with some adjustment to the vertical positioning of text here:-
.....you can get the result you want:-
You can also apply glow or drop shadow to text, as well as give it any colour you like. It's better to use text colours that contrast well with the background.
Foreground Image
You can use an image from our image library, or upload your own images. You can upload a .jpg, .gif or .png. Maximum size is 512k. The foreground image is layered on top of the background, but behind the text. Using a foreground image will give your banner more depth.
If you upload an image, bear in mind that the image will be resized to fit inside the banner's dimensions:-
