Dofollow blogs - great way to link build and share advice

Dofollow blogs are blogs which do not use the rel="nofollow" tag. In other words, if you get a link from a Dofollow blog to your website, search engines will count this link toward your own website's link popularity.

So how to find thse Dofollow blogs? And how would I go about adding a link to my website on such a blog?

First off, I have to mention Fast Blog Finder - this software allows you to find Dofollow blogs easily and it's free to use (you can pay for the unrestricted version - about £30). Just type in a few keywords associated to your website's theme, and it will find other Dofollow blogs that are similar to your website's theme (e.g. if you sell running shoes, enter "running shoes" and Dofollow blogs that relate to running shoes appear in a list).

Now you have found the Dofollow blogs, how to leave a link? Simply leave a comment on the site, and normally your name will be the link to your site. This isn't just a case of dumping a link on the site and leaving. You need to give something to get something in life. So give something to this blog. Leave a comment that is actually USEFUL and is relevant to the blog entry. If you can't find anything useful to write, don't leave a comment. Most blogs are moderated so your bland comment will likely just be deleted. Your actual link to your website will feature as your name (the name is the anchor text, the link will be the website you enter in the website field).

Is it ethical? So long as you are contributing valuable information, of course it is. In fact, you will win over organic click throughs to your site if people like what you write. it's better to leave a truly valuable comment than 10 hit-and-run one liner comments that say nothing. In fact, they are worthless and very unlikely to win a blog moderator's vote (i.e. rubbish comments won't even get published - why waste your time?).
